On Monday morning, November 22nd, the West Valley Human Services Alliance convened its monthly meeting at the Pendergast Learning Center.
We heard a presentation from Chuck Fitzgerald, Faith-Based & Community Initiatives for the Arizona Department of Economic Security. He spoke of his role in connecting, convening and communicating around human services issues – statewide; including the Governor’s ArizonaSERVES (www.arizonaserves.gov).
Janet Olson with APECA wants to share information regarding the 12/18/10 “Self-Injury” workshop.
Rob McFarren with Arizona CityFest/Season of Service spoke of the success of this month’s Hunger Impact Day and encouraged everyone to stay connected to the Season of Service efforts in the West Valley.
Tom Fenner with Hospice of the Valley wants to share information regarding the 12/2/10 “Health Care Forum” in Glendale and the 12/8/10 “Health Care Forum” in Sun City West.
There will not be a meeting in December. The next meeting is January 24, 2011.

Thank you for setting up this wonderful system of posting WVHSA meeting notes! It is very user-friendly and helps to keep us connected from our multiple service points in the community.
