The West Valley Human Services Alliance convened the “Without a Ride, Life Unravels” Summit in Goodyear, Arizona to discuss how to bring successful community-based transportation models into our communities. The theme that resonated throughout the Summit was “while large systemic solutions are needed, our small acts of service are important to those we serve.”
The underlying theme for the Summit stressed that solutions to large social service problems, such as transportation for the underserved, lay with community in partnership with government. Government, by itself, will never be able to provide the solutions we desire.
All of the Summit’s presentations, handouts and audio recordings are available via Google Docs at this link.
